BETHANY BEACH — A fire at a townhouse on the 700 block of Sunrise Court on Sunday caused damages worth approximately $7,500, the Delaware State Fire Marshal reported.
The fire started in a bedroom and was contained by the home’s sprinkler system.
One man received minor burn injuries to his hand while trying to extinguish the fire but refused treatment, the report said.
Investigators determined that the fire was caused by combustible materials too close to a heat source, it said.
